      • Good Afternoon Nugget Families –

        A reminder of our Community Engagement meeting on Wednesday, May 25 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Elementary Gym.  InGensa, a firm we hired to conduct a facility needs assessment, will be presenting their findings along with potential remodeling and construction projects.  Please RSVP to Sandy Sorenson by noon Monday.  ssorenson@hawley.k12.mn.us   483-4647.  A meal and daycare will be provided.  I hope to see you on Wednesday!

        As we enter the last week of the 21-22 school year I want to let you know that the Federal Food Service Program (school lunch) will be returning to the Pre-Covid regulations.  This means students will be charged for all meals.  I highly encourage you to submit the Free & Reduced application that will be in your fall packet of information.  Qualifying for this program is beneficial to your family and the District.

        Congratulations to our Seniors and enjoy your summer.

      • Hawley School District Community Engagement Meeting 

        As many of you are aware, last fall, the Hawley School Board hired consultants to conduct a comprehensive assessment of our facilities and assist us in developing a plan to address our space needs.  

        Our district proudly continues to be the school of choice for families and their children, however building capacity remains a challenge as we embrace this growth. 

        The board has considered a number of options during this process including input from our administrators, teachers, staff and students and now would like to hear from you, our community.  

        Please join us at the Hawley Elementary School on May 25th from 6p.m. – 9p.m. to hear our assessment results, plan options and provide your input as the board plans for a November 8th bond election.

        Daycare and a meal will be provided.  We kindly ask that you RSVP to Sandy Sorenson by phone, 218-483-4647 or email, ssorenson@hawley.k12.mn.us to enable us to plan for food and printed materials.
