We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and caring individuals to join our before & after school childcare program, BASE. As a staff member, you will play an essential role in providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will assist in providing supervision, ensuring the well-being of each child, and leading/carrying out activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Care: Ensure the safety, well-being, and emotional support of children at all times.
• Activity Facilitation: Assist in carrying out recreational activities such as arts and crafts, games, outdoor activities, and team-building exercises.
• Behavior Management: Foster positive behavior by setting clear expectations and applying consistent, fair discipline when necessary.
• Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with children, parents, and other staff members.
• Emergency Preparedness: Be aware of and prepared to handle emergency situations, including first aid and basic medical needs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to create a supportive team environment and ensure the success of the program.
• Daily Operations: Help with the setup and cleanup of activities, assist with meal/snack time, and manage children’s transitions between activities.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report any incidents, injuries, or issues to the Program Coordinator/Director promptly.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience working with children in a group setting (e.g., childcare, teaching, camp counselor) is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Certifications:
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred, but we will provide training if needed.
  • Background check required for individuals 18 and older.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to engage in physical activities such as running, playing games, and lifting equipment or supplies up to 30 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
